Alex Goff
Founder/Managing Director"I am the Director of Evolve, my organisation is committed to delivering high-quality, person-centred support for individuals with a learning disability. I have worked within the health and social care sector since 2005, during which time I have seen the landscape for care and support change significantly. During this time, I've developed a strong belief that the most effective support is built around each individual, ensuring their voice is heard and that they remain at the centre of every decision.
At Evolve, I am passionate about creating innovative, flexible approaches that promote independence, choice, and control. I firmly advocate that support should be co-designed and co-produced with the people we support at the front and centre, enabling them to live fulfilling lives. This principle has shaped my career and continues to drive my work every day.
Alongside my role at Evolve, I am Chair of the Self-Directed Support Network England for ISF providers, where I support the development and growth of Individual Service Funds (ISFs) across the sector. I’ve developed specialist expertise in this area, using ISFs in social care since 2015, building on the pioneering work of Partners for Inclusion (PFI) in Scotland.
I also serve as a trustee on the Board of Partners for Inclusion (PFI), where I bring my sector experience and practical insight to support their ongoing work. My values closely align with PFI’s, particularly the belief that support should always be shaped in partnership with the individual.

Throughout my career, I’ve built a strong network of like-minded providers who collaborate openly to promote self-directed support. I’m passionate about sharing knowledge, learning from others, and working together to find positive, practical solutions to the challenges we face in social care.
Everything I do is driven by a commitment to improving outcomes for individuals with a learning disability, championing approaches that empower people, strengthen communities, and help shape a more inclusive future."
I am the Support Manager for Evolve, with more than 25 years of experience in Health and Social Care, specialising in supporting people with learning disabilities. I genuinely love what I do and feel privileged to have spent my career helping people live more independent, fulfilling lives.
Over the years, I've learned that the most important part of supporting people is taking the time to listen and get to know them. Everyone is different, and I believe people do best when they feel comfortable, respected, and supported in a way that works for them
When I'm not at work, I'm a busy mum of four who loves the simple things in life. You'll often find me hunting for treasures in charity shops and second-hand stores, keeping my ever-growing collection of houseplants alive, or spending time with family and friends.
